Music Industry Podcast

This is a short podcast I made that discusses how Travis Scott's hit song FE!N was intentionally designed for a live audience, paving the way for his return to live performance after the tragedy at his 2021 Astro World festival which claimed the lives of 10 people. I created this podcast as a final project for the class Com Arts 330 - Music Industries and Popular Culture. The purpose of the project was to choose a song and discuss how it connects to the Music Industry today while using the sound editing skills that we learned over the course of the semester. This project forced me to listen to music in a different way and consider the way that artistic decisions fit into and are driven by the ever changing landscape of the music industry. The project taught me new technological skills on Adobe Audition, as well as give me a new perspective on how technology is used in the creation and discussion of music.

Documentary - All 22

This short documentary follows a coworker of mine and dives into her role as a Wisconsin Football Video Student. Myself and one other student filmed and edited this documentary as a project for the class Com Arts 355 - Introduction to Media Production. The project was to create a 4-5 minute documentary on a subject of our choice, teaching us skills in documentary filming, interviewing, and editing. My partner and I planned all of the shots together, I executed most of the physical camera work, and all post-production work being done collaboratively using Adobe Premier Pro. This documentary showcases skills that I have developed in the filmmaking process such as camera operation and utilizing Premier Pro. Additionally, this documentary discusses how the football team leans on technology to assist in their every day operation, highlighting the integration of technology into the world of sports.
